I finished my degree in Geology at the University of Granada (Spain) in 2007. Then, I did a Master degree in Geology in the same university in 2008. The results obtained in my Master thesis were published in the Journal of Foraminiferal Research in 2010. In 2008, I started my PhD thesis working on benthic foraminifera from the Late Miocene of the Guadalquivir Basin (SW Spain) under the supervision of Dr. Julio Aguirre (University of Granada). In addition, I have stayed in the University of Hamburg (Germany) working with Dr. Gerhard Schmiedl in 2009 and 2010. Furthermore, I have attended several national and international meetings including Forams 2010, TMS-Mikro 2011, RCMNS-RCANS interim colloquium 2011, XXVII Jornadas de las Sociedad Española de Paleontología 2011, etc.
